Hello everyone,
My name is Jenny and I'm a stay-at-home mom with three kids, a very work-centered husband and a puppy. Johnny, Alex and Alicia are 9, 7 and 4 years old respectively, and as you can imagine, i love them to death. But be that as it may, these kids can sometimes make my life a living hell ... but i guess it comes with the territory right ? (hm ... if i can call my kids a "territory" - they're more like a playground though).
Anyway, i initially started this website years ago, with the intention of collecting soup recipes (hence the name). However, this hobby went away soon and YumYamSoulSoupKitchen ended up (pretty) deserted. Well, not anymore. I intend to use it as my personal website (or blog ... i don't really know the difference, I'm not that tech savvy and I'm way to proud to bug my husband a gazillion times a day).
I seriously doubt that i will have much of an audience (maybe only my girlfriends will read it occasionally - Hi Dana! Hi Taneekwa!) but it will kind of serve as my own online diary and I'm sure I'll reread it with pleasure after years and years.
---After Christmas update
Well, after finding out about a Kindle Fire HD deal (yeah, i know ... fancy name right) i decided to buy Johnny this tablet. And boy i did the right thing. He likes it so much he even sleeps with it. In fact, even I love it so much that i sometimes have to (playfully) fight him for it. Anyway i did some online research i found out that it's very likely that Amazon will release pretty soon two more models one of which i will definitely buy.
Seeing as about a year ago Android tablets were still rather expensive to buy and considered by many as a luxury item (i told you i did some reading), it seems that they just keep getting more and more affordable. Point and case would be the Amazon Kindle Fire which although packs a dual-core processor and plenty of hardware under the hood, goes for only $199 on Amazon. It seems that the company isn’t yet satisfied with that and wants to increase their Kindle lineup with an 8.9 inch model as well as a larger 10.1 inch one.

From what i got to read on the Internet, the fine folks over at DigiTimes (some online newspaper from ... Korea ?) have been correct time and again and this time around they are bringing some more leaked information. They are rather good at keeping track of what OEM order and it seems that Amazon has been stocking up on 8.9 and 10.1 inch displays. The company is still ordering those which might be a very strong indicator of what we might be getting soon from the company.
Oh, Dana, i promised that i will tell you where i found out about the Kindle fire HD deal - from some guys who call themselves the www.gforgames.com team. Check them out maybe you will find something useful. Oh, and for more about the Kindle fire go straight to good ol' Wikipedia. Back to what i was saying ...
If Amazon is indeed looking to fortify their tablet lineup, an 8.9 inch and a 10.1 inch model would be the next logical steps. However, for the larger formats the company will have to migrate to Android 3.0 Honeycomb which might need quite a bit of tweaking in order to get their environment used on the Kindle Fire to work on the Honeycomb platform. However, for the time being, just based on the orders the journalists can’t say anything more in terms of technical specifications. I am definitely interested in the upcoming Amazon 8.9 and 10.1 inch tablets, what about you ?
